Teenage Pregnancy & Abortion Awareness Programme | Intabazwe Secondary School

We are grateful to have successfully hosted our Teenage Pregnancy and Abortion Awareness Programme at Intabazwe Secondary School. 🙏🏽💙

The programme created a safe and educational space for learners to engage on important issues affecting young people, including teenage pregnancy, reproductive health, responsible decision-making, the consequences of early pregnancy, and the realities surrounding abortion.

Through open conversations, educational presentations and interactive engagement, learners were encouraged to understand that their choices today can have a significant impact on their education, relationships, health and future goals.

We were especially encouraged by the learners' participation, questions and willingness to listen and engage. Our goal is not to judge or condemn young people, but to educate, empower, guide and help them make informed and responsible decisions.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Intabazwe Secondary School management, educators, learners, facilitators, Reach4Life and all partners and supporters who contributed to making this programme possible.

Together, we can continue transforming lives, impacting lives and forging destinies. 🙌🏽

We had the privilege of conducting a Teenage Pregnancy and Abortion Awareness Programme at Lerato-uThando High School.

The programme focused on equipping learners with knowledge, responsible decision-making, positive values, and life skills that can help them make informed choices about their future.

Our facilitator, Mrs Lungile Gudazi, delivering this important awareness and educational programme to the learners.

We believe that education, mentorship, guidance and open conversations can empower young people to protect their future and make responsible decisions.

We sincerely thank the school management, educators and learners of Lerato-uThando High School for welcoming us and allowing us to contribute to the development and wellbeing of young people.

The first session of the Youth Leadership Training was successfully launched under LOVE NEVER FAILS
UPLIFTMENT PROJECTS (LNF-UP). Although attendance was lower than expected, the session was impactful, spiritually uplifting, and educational for the youth who attended. Several challenges affected attendance and punctuality. Some participants reported that they had Saturday classes at school, while others mentioned household responsibilities such as washing and chores. It was also observed that some young people may have been discouraged from attending because of the registration fee. Additionally, a number of participants who attended had not yet managed to pay the registration fee. Despite these challenges, the training continued successfully, and important leadership foundations were covered.
