The year has already begun with meaningful progress because of the people who walk this journey with us.

In January, we completed our strategic planning session for the next three to five years, supported two students with travel bags as they began their university journeys, continued distributing the Bidvest donations, successfully completed our FoodForward audit, strengthened the StartWell project with the support of Atterbury Trust and OUTsurance, and collected generous donations from Hatfield Christian Church.

In February, much of the work happened behind the scenes. We spent hours behind our laptops searching for donors and sponsorship opportunities, completed a StartWell audit, and continued supporting our Centre Managers and the children in our programmes every day.

These are not just items on a checklist, they are steady steps that shape futures, strengthen systems, and build a more resilient community.

In 2026, we step boldly into Impact in Action.

This season calls us to serve, not sit; to build, not only believe; to give, not only receive and to show up where it matters most.

Impact in Action means ensuring that every programme, every resource, and every hour invested contributes to meaningful change in the lives of the children and community we serve in Hammanskraal.

What Impact in Action Means

Impact in Action requires more than intention. It means deepening the quality of care for our beneficiaries, strengthening our partner centres, equipping leaders on the ground, and ensuring that our work produces measurable, visible outcomes.

It means moving beyond passive faith to active faith, steps that change lives and transform environments.

As James 2:17 reminds us, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” Faith matters. But it is through action that it becomes tangible.

Impact in Action – 2026

I have stepped into 2026 with a heart full of gratitude and bold expectation. This is our call to move beyond good intentions into meaningful and visible change. This year is about turning care into contribution, faith into service, and vision into practical outcomes that transform lives and communities.

As I reflect, one truth stands out: our progress has always been a shared journey. It is made possible through the unwavering support of our families, the Take Action Team, our funders, partners and collaborators, the Take Action Board, partner centres, Centre Managers, the Hammanskraal community, and most importantly, the children at the heart of our work.
