High five to the youth of Hammanskraal! ✋♟️

This Youth Day, young minds gathered at Mandela Hall to participate in a Chess Tournament that celebrated learning, strategic thinking, and personal growth.

A special congratulations to the youth who chose to invest in themselves through healthy competition and intellectual development. Chess teaches patience, discipline, decision-making, and resilience—qualities that build future leaders.

The Kwalata Community Development Initiative (KCDI) is proud to be involved in creating opportunities that empower young people, encourage lifelong learning, and inspire positive community development.

Together, we are investing in the future of Hammanskraal—one move, one learner, and one opportunity at a time.

This special event is a fundraiser in support of Bethesda Outreach Ministries and Jabulane Christian Academy. It's a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time together while helping us make a difference in the lives of others.

• Only 200 participants will be allowed for the Fun Run.

What a proud moment for Kwalata and the conservation community to see Sally Pale, a female game ranger did her practical training at Kwalata, being featured in a government newspaper. Her journey is a testament to dedication, perseverance, and passion for wildlife conservation.

Sally’s success highlights the important role women continue to play in conservation, inspiring young girls and future rangers across South Africa to pursue careers in protecting our natural heritage. Her achievement reflects not only her hard work but also the value of practical conservation training and mentorship.

We are incredibly proud of Sally and wish her continued success as she helps shape the future of conservation in South Africa. May her story inspire many more young people to follow their dreams and make a positive impact on our environment.

The vibrant rhythms, colourful attire, and energetic cultural expressions showcased the rich heritage of the Batswana people, giving our international guests an authentic taste of local culture and community spirit.

Kwalata Community Development Initiative (KCDI) proudly collaborated with the City of Tshwane Waste Management in a successful Clean-Up Campaign aimed at promoting environmental awareness, community responsibility, and a cleaner future for all ♻️✨

We extend our sincere appreciation to Blue Ribbon 🍞, SANCA 🤝, Mandisa Clinic 🏥, and Dinokeng Game Reserve 🦒🌿 for their valuable support and participation in making this initiative a success 🙌

Birding Awareness at Kwalata 🐦🌿

Learners from Klipdrift Primary School enjoyed a wonderful birding awareness experience at Kwalata, discovering the beauty and importance of our local birdlife.

This special conservation education outing was hosted in partnership with the University of Pretoria Veterinary Bird Club, inspiring young learners to listen, observe and connect with nature.

Through birding, we build curiosity, conservation awareness and a love for the nature. 🦅🦉
