Strengthening Partnerships for Quality Early Childhood Development ✨❤️

Six of our ECD practitioners recently participated in a two-day Early Childhood Development (ECD) Summit hosted by the Limpopo Department of Education, in collaboration with Save the Children, the University of Venda, Blessing Foundation, SmartStart, Thusanang Trust, the National Development Agency (NDA) and other key stakeholders.

Held under the theme “Strengthening Partnerships for Quality Early Childhood Development in Limpopo”; the summit provided an important platform for stakeholders across the sector to engage on ECD provisioning, policies and legislation, funding, innovation, infrastructure development, practitioner support and implementation.

While progress is being made, meaningful impact requires continued collaboration to address gaps in implementation, coordination, practitioner support and the environment in which young children grow and develop.

As a Non-Profit Organisation committed to community development and the wellbeing of children, Ndlovu Care Group values opportunities such as these to learn, share experiences and contribute to strengthening the ECD sector. ❤️🙏🏽

Celebrating Our Gogos Through Sports! ✨❤️

Yesterday, our Sports Programme hosted a vibrant Boot Camp and Fun Day for our amazing Gogos at our Bloempoort Campus, bringing together movement, laughter and plenty of good energy! 🙌🏾

From getting active during the boot camp to enjoying fun activities, the day was a wonderful reminder that age is no barrier to staying active, healthy and engaged. Dilo stofong ngwanaka. 🔥💃🏾

Their energy, determination and enthusiasm were truly inspiring! ❤️

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible, and to our incredible Gogos for showing up, getting involved and bringing the spirit! 👏🏾

Empowering Coaches for Special Olympics 🏅

From 28–31 May 2026, coaches from across all five districts of Limpopo came together for a three-day Workshop hosted by Special Olympics South Africa aimed at strengthening Sports Coaching for persons with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities (IDD). 🙏❤️

Our very own Coach Lu attended the workshop; which was all about equipping coaches with the knowledge and skills to better understand the learning and participation needs of athletes with this particular kind of condition. A key message emphasized throughout the training was that athletes should not be defined by their short-comings; but rather supported according to their individual strengths, abilities, and learning styles. Some athletes may require repetition, others may learn best through practical demonstrations and hands-on participation.

Upon completion of the workshop, participants received certification, further enhancing their capacity to support and develop athletes within their communities. The training also provided insight into the Special Olympics athlete pathway, which begins at district level and progresses through provincial and national competitions, with opportunities to ultimately represent South Africa on the international stage. 🔥

We now look forward to the upcoming Special Olympics National Games taking place from 27–30 August, where athletes from across the country will showcase their talent, determination, and sporting excellence. ✨🤩
