Demand Creation Engagement with IHPS โ€“ Marble Hall

We recently conducted a successful demand creation engagement in Marble Hall

The session focused on raising awareness, strengthening community understanding, and encouraging uptake of available services and programmes. Through community outreach and engagement, we worked to ensure that individuals are informed, empowered, and able to access the support and services they need.

Key focus areas included:
Community awareness and education on HIV/AIDS, Human rights
Strengthening service uptake through clear information sharing
Encouraging positive health-seeking behaviour
Building trust between service providers and the community
Promoting collaboration between stakeholders and local structures

The engagement was well received, and community members showed interest and willingness to participate in ongoing programmes and services.

We appreciate the collaboration with IHPS and look forward to continuing joint efforts to strengthen demand creation and improve service delivery in Marble Hall and surrounding communities.

Meeting with Aurum โ€“ Collaboration and Future Partnership

We recently held a productive meeting with one of our funders, Aurum Institute, focused on strengthening collaboration and exploring future opportunities for joint work.

The discussion centred on shared goals around community development, youth empowerment, and strengthening health and social impact programmes within our communities. We also explored ways of aligning our work to enhance teaching, capacity building, and sustainable programme implementation.

We are encouraged by the positive engagement and are looking forward to deeper collaboration that will support impactful learning opportunities and strengthen our collective reach and effectiveness.

This partnership represents an important step toward expanding our work and improving outcomes for the communities we serve.

We are excited about what lies ahead and remain committed to building strong, meaningful partnerships that create lasting change.

Boys Championing Change (BCC) โ€“ Community Study Group | Ga-Matsepe Community Hall 03 June 2026

We successfully held our Boys Championing Change (BCC) community study group session today at the Ga-Matsepe Community Hall.

The session created a safe and supportive space for boys to focus on their studies, share knowledge, and encourage one another in both their academic journey and personal growth. It also strengthened values of discipline, responsibility, respect, and positive peer influence.

Through Boys Championing Change, we continue to empower young boys to become active contributors in their communitiesโ€”choosing education, positive behaviour, and leadership as their pathway forward.

We appreciate the commitment and energy shown by all participants and look forward to building on todayโ€™s session in the upcoming gatherings.

We are officially done for today and excited for whatโ€™s ahead.

Child Protection Week Closing โ€“ Radio Engagement on Moutse Community Radio Station 963
On 2 June 2026, we officially closed off Child Protection Week with a powerful radio engagement on Moutse FM, featuring Mmathapelo.

The discussion focused on the importance of togetherness in raising children and the collective responsibility of families, communities, schools, and stakeholders in fighting against child abuse and neglect.

Key messages shared included:
The importance of strong family support systems in protecting children
The role of open communication in preventing abuse
Community responsibility in reporting and responding to cases of child harm
The need to create safe, nurturing environments for every child
Encouraging unity (โ€œit takes a villageโ€) in raising and protecting children
The conversation highlighted that child protection is not the responsibility of one individual or institution, but a shared commitment that requires collaboration and continuous awareness.

We thank Moutse FM for providing a platform to amplify these critical messages and help strengthen community awareness and action.

Chommy Session at Mafato Primary School โ€“ 1 June 2026

On 1 June 2026, we had a powerful and engaging Chommy Session at Mafato Primary School, focusing on youth development, positive behaviour change, and emotional wellbeing.

Learners participated actively in discussions that encouraged self-awareness, respect, good decision-making, and building healthy relationships at school, at home, and in the community. The session also created a safe space for learners to share their thoughts, challenges, and dreams for the future.

Through interactive dialogue and life skills sharing, the session aimed to empower young people to become responsible, confident, and positive changemakers in their communities.

We appreciate the warm welcome from the school and the enthusiasm of the learners who made the session impactful and meaningful.
