Call for Discretionary Grant Applications 2026/27
The Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA) is pleased to announce that the window for Discretionary Grant (DG) funding applications for the 2026/27 financial year is now open.
This funding is dedicated to skills development initiatives that bolster national priorities, including energy security, water sustainability, and a Just Energy Transition. We are prioritising industry-relevant occupational programs that address critical and scarce skills needs across the sector.
Available Funded Interventions:
- Artisan / Learnership Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL)
- Learnership programmes (for both employed and unemployed learners)
- Skills programmes (for both employed and unemployed learners)
- Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), including University and TVET placement programmes
Who Should Apply?
Applications are invited from TVET and CET Colleges, Universities, sector companies, government departments, municipalities, industry partners, SMMEs, NPOs, and accredited skills development providers.
