đź“ŤIMPORTANT NOTICE.

The Conty Lebepe Foundation has intervened in a matter involving a poultry farming business group operating around the Greater Letaba, Sekgosese and Senwabarwana areas within Blouberg Local Municipality.

It is alleged that the supplier of chicks and feed, Mme Sophy Mapula Modiba, trading as Sunrise, has received payments for orders of feed and chicks from customers since April 2026 without supplying the ordered products.

Following CONLEF's intervention, Mme Modiba reportedly undertook to refund all affected customers—more than 30 individuals—by 30 June 2026.

In the interest of protecting the public and poultry farmers, we advise prospective customers to exercise caution and refrain from placing new orders until all outstanding refunds have been processed or normal supply of chicks and feed has resumed.

Anyone who believes they may be affected is encouraged to keep records of payments, receipts, and communications relating to their orders.

Acting municipal manager of Molemole municipality in Limpopo Emmanuel Makgatho and his co-accused were arrested for alleged corruption in the awarding of tenders. They have been remanded in custody till Tuesday for Bail Application.

The Public Protector's Report released on the 3rd March 2026 which is already swept under the table by the Municipality, instructs MEC of Cogsta Basikopo Makamu to appoint an independent Investigator to probe the Mayor; Mr Masilo Paya within 90 Days as it alleges that, he is involved in irregular activities including corruption.

Paya has a lot to answer, CONLEF, Ka Moka Re Batho.

THE CONTY LEBEPE FOUNDATION WELCOMES ARRESTS OF MOLEMOLE OFFICIALS, CALLS FOR ACTION ON MAYOR PROBE.

The Conty Lebepe Foundation welcomes and applauds the sterling work done by the Hawks in Limpopo in arresting seven senior officials of the Molemole Local Municipality. The arrests relate to a tender scandal marred by allegations of fraud and corruption, with the alleged misconduct stemming from incidents reported in September 2024.

Although CONLEF is aware of the names of the officials, we will abide by pre-plea publication restrictions and will not identify them until they have appeared in court and pleaded to the charges.

Molemole Municipality requires urgent intervention. It has been turned into a cash cow for officials, their friends, family, and comrades, at the expense of service delivery and the community. All the suspects are appearing Senwabarwana magistrate court today.

With the same weight, we call on the MEC for CoGHSTA, Mr Basikopo Makamu, to account publicly on the progress made in implementing the Public Protector’s recommendations on this Municipality. On the 3rd March 2026, the Public Protector released a Report against Molemole Local Municipality and allegations are that, the Report is swept under the table already. The Foundation is in possession of a full Report.

The directives require the appointment of an independent, qualified investigator or committee to probe alleged breaches of the Municipal Systems Act and the Code of Conduct by Mayor Mr Masilo Paya, within 90 Days.

The Non Profit Organisation will continue to monitor both matters closely in the interest of accountability and clean governance.

The Molemole Local Municipality in Limpopo is facing significant scrutiny, with the Hawks arresting seven senior officials regarding a tender scandal involving alleged fraud and corruption.

The alleged Senior officials who are appearing in Court tomorrow for Bail applications are:

1. Municipal Manager.

2. Executive Manager.

3. Senior Manager Community services.

4. Roads and Storm technician.

5. Former CFO and currently a Budget Manager at City of Tshwane.

6. Former Senior Manager Planning and Development but currently LED Senior Manager at Greater Giyani Municipality.

7. Supplying Chain Manager.

This municipality needs a serious attention, it has been turned into a Cash-Cow of the officials, their friends, family and comrades.

THE CONTY LEBEPE FOUNDATION CALLS FOR THE DISMISSAL OF LIMPOPO REGIONAL EDlTOR JUBIE MATLOU FROM THE SABC.

It is a known fact and proven by the CCMA that Mr Matlou is a yoke that is costing the taxpayers of this country some thousands if not the millions of rand.

The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) has found that the SABC irregularly awarded the job to him without the relevant journalism qualifications and also failed a vetting process.

CCMA commissioner, Piet Shai, ruled out that SABC had committed unfair labor practice and that the SABC failed to finalise the grievance interview within 6 weeks.

Commissioner Shai also mentioned that the manner in which the SABC dealt with his appointment gives the impression that the position was reserved for him regardless.

It was also reported that the appointment had political interference with the complications arising both externally and internally.

It is also alleged that Mr Matlou is working with Corrupt Limpopo MEC's. Hence, he even instructed his surbodinates to cease conducting interviews with Conty Lebepe Foundation, which is against the interests of the community of being updated.

The same Matlou is alleged to have dismissed many young and promising journalists who were abiding to journalism ethics to nurture his own notorious hidden agendas of protecting the corruption in this country.

As the Non Profit Organisation, we call on the dismissal of Matlou and the members of the panel who recommended his appointment with immediate effect.

The Conty Lebepe Foundation has opened a case against BUILD IT in Sekgosese with CCMA yesterday.

Together with our partners under the leadership of Mr Raymond Motsoko and Mr Mosena Sebola, we managed to speak to the area Manager and the HR Department but, unfortunately, they are duck and diving and continue exploiting our people without a shame.

Our people should be fairly treated and respected at the respective work places, they are not slaves.
