A four day hike from Kei Mouth to Gonubie using our overnight facilities.

Pieter Jacobs (right) and his group left on the weekend with the weather being cloudy and cool so they'll have a great hike. He and his family are from Uitenhage and they're hiking with the Nelle family who are from Parys.

Elise Wiese and her group from Lady Grey have just started the hike.

The weather looks good for them except for a little wind. Hope it remains pleasant for the next few days.

Marike Badenhorst's (Back row 2nd on the left) group have just started the hike.

They are no strangers to the area and have enjoyed many holidays in the coastal villages stretching along the Strandloper trail.

We wish them good weather over the next few days.

Yusuf Seedat (5th left in red): 12 hikers (rhs) and their 2 drivers (lhs) started their hike on Monday this week.

Some are newcomers to the trail but Yusuf and a few of the others are former Strandloper Trail hikers.

The Vincent Scout Troop did the Weekender Trail this last weekend

The hike was arranged by Mr. Nepgen (far right) and the hike was guided by the 2 sharp navigators to his right.

Kevin Scott's (left) group has just completed the 2 day Weekender Trail.
They are East London locals and they hiked with their lovely guests from Sweden.

The second day of the Strandloper can also be done as a longish day hike from Haga Haga to Double Mouth and return. Will see the magnificent coast along this section and with a stop at black rock you'll be at a good vantage point to spot whales in whaling season.

Kevin and his group started the trail on Saturday and they're locals from East London. Looks like a nice bunch of young folk!
I hope they enjoy the fine day time weather we're having at the moment. One or two of the evenings might have been a little damp. 😉
