Derek Odendaal’s group and he’s third from the right.
He’s the former cartographer of the original
Strandloper trail map and this is not his first time on trail but the first time since Cape Henderson and the Pump house have been destroyed.

The Strandloper Weekender 2 day trail is also an option.
It's suitable for anyone that doesn't have the time, for someone new to overnight hiking, for Eastern Capers who have kids at school etc.
It's essentially the first two days of the trail. Park at the start and get fetched by a shuttle at the end which is at Haga Haga, maybe after a lunch time meal at the hotel.
Both days are short and the terrain is varied.
A great hike to add to your bucket list.

We're also considering making the last two days of the Strandloper a separate two day hike. What do you think?

Another great restaurant in Morgan Bay is Salty's at the old Mitford Hotel. The deck has recently been expanded so the views are even better. Have your breakfast or early lunch here on day 1 of the trail.
