Update
Final report for the day.
Sadly little Joslin has not been located. The search and investigation are ongoing.
We have had serious challenges with some individuals reporting on the movements of SAPS and teams conducting their work. This can have SERIOUS negative effects on the results of this investigation. Broadcasting to the world is also broadcasting to those who may be responsible for this tragedy. May I request that these individuals cease this immediately. SAPS will not hesitate to take action against people hampering the investigation and especially those who are spreading/publishing false and unverified information.
Premier Alan Winde gave me a call this evening to offer the support of the Western Cape Government. After our conversation he undertook to contact the Provincial Commisioner to request more manpower/resources for this very important investigation. We will remain in contact.
We will meet with SAPS again in the morning and plot the day ahead. We will keep you posted immediately if we have news.
May I use this opportunity to thank everyone who have worked so hard. Everyone that have offered donations and or support. It is amazing how this community, District, Province and SA have rallied together in this dark hour. I stand in amazement... truly humbling.
In closing, remember to keep little Joslin and her family in our prayers.
