Evening all,

❤️ OUR FOOD APPEAL – WE NEED YOUR HELP ❤️
Earlier this week, we made an appeal for food donations for our children. Today, we would like to share a little more about why your support is so urgently needed.

A regular sponsor who has supported us with food has had to withdraw due to statutory circumstances beyond our control. At the same time, government funding has unfortunately proven unreliable, leaving us with a significant gap in our monthly food supply.

For an organisation caring for children, food is not optional — it is a daily necessity. 🥣🍞🥛
To give you an idea of what we use on a regular basis

- 72 pieces of Weetbix or 3kg of Oats or 4kg Corn flakes in 1 sitting
- 10 litres of milk a day
- 10 kg sugar every 2 days
- 1 Tin coffee per day
- 12 loaves of bread a day
- 1 kg of Margarine a day
- Various spreads for school.
- 3kg of pasta per meal
- 240 eggs per month
- 40kg of Washing powder per month
- any game meat or assistance from a butcher.

Feeding our children the quantities add up quickly.

This is why we are turning to the public and asking our community to stand with us. 🙏

Every donation makes a difference. Whether you can donate one item, a grocery voucher, a food parcel or contribute towards our monthly food bill — it all helps us keep the cupboards stocked and our children fed.

Good afternoon 🌿

We are reaching out to any hunters who may be willing to donate game meat to us. Your generosity would make a meaningful difference to the children in our care. ❤️

Tonight, our children will go to sleep depending on the kindness of people like you as the subsidy is unreliable.

Siyabonga Children's Home is facing a growing financial crisis because the government subsidy we rely on is being paid 3 to 6 months late. While the payments are delayed, the children's needs don't stop.

Every day we must still provide:
🍽️ Nutritious meals
📚 School fees, uniforms and supplies
💡 Electricity and water
🏠 A safe, loving home
❤️ Care, stability and hope

We refuse to let these children carry the burden of circumstances beyond their control—but we can't do it alone.
