Today we celebrate the rich and diverse heritage that makes South Africa so special. From our languages, cultures and traditions to our music, food, stories and shared history, our heritage is part of what connects us and makes us who we are.

At SAEWA, we celebrate the diversity of our members and the many backgrounds, cultures and traditions that come together in our workplaces and communities.

May this Heritage Day be a time to celebrate what makes each of us unique, while appreciating the bonds that bring us together.

SAEWA Field Day Drive | On Friday, 24 July 2026, SAEWA officials had a successful drive in Chamdor, an industrial and manufacturing area in Krugersdorp.
The team focused on engaging large metal companies, introducing workers to the benefits of union membership and the services offered by SAEWA. The drive proved to be highly productive, with valuable contacts established at several companies.

We are also pleased to announce that follow-up meetings have already been secured with three metal companies, where we look forward to signing up new members and continuing to strengthen worker representation.

A big thank you to Tebogo Moetaesi and the learner officials for their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to growing SAEWA’s footprint on the ground. Every conversation brings us one step closer to empowering more workers and building a stronger union.

Together, we are stronger. Together, we are SAEWA.
