Child Welfare Germiston Child Protection Services to children and their families in the Greater Germiston and Katlehong area. Child Welfare Germiston was established in 1912.

Services include investigations into child abuse and neglect, abandoned children and support services to families in crisis. Initially it aimed at meeting the material needs of families in the Germiston community. At the time concerns were expressed about the high rate of young children that were dying in South Africa, child labour and child neglect due to poverty. Since our establishment we have

a proud history of rendering social services to the community and the value we have added to ensuring the care and well being of children throughout the years. Our services focus on child protection services which includes prevention, early intervention and statutory programmes to children that are identified as being at risk. Social work services include but is not limited to investigations into concerns regarding abuse, neglect, abandonment which are conducted by social workers, foster care placements and supervision services. As a Non-Profit, Non-Government Organisation with the core business of child protection services, we are dependent upon support of individuals, corporate and fundraising events for our financial sustainability.

Each hamper contains items such as:
