In 2024, the South African Muslim Charitable Trust (SAMCT) donated equipment to Siyafunda CTC to help us expand our skills development programs.

Every skill learned is a step closer to a brighter future.

This past holiday, our young learners showed up, logged in, and leveled up! Today we celebrate them with their certificates for completing Siyafunda CTC’s Holiday Program in Digital Literacy, Online Safety, Coding & Robotics.

They didn’t just spend the holidays. They invested them.

600,000 Lives Transformed Through Digital Skills! 🌍💻

On Thursday, Siyafunda CTC joined Cisco Networking Academy to celebrate an incredible milestone: 600,000 learners reached across South Africa!

As an Instructor Training Centre, Academy Support Centre, and active Cisco Academy, we’re proud that our work is part of this impact. Every certificate earned, every instructor trained, every career launched – it all adds up.

This milestone fuels us to do more. Our mission is simple: empower and upskill more people in our communities with in-demand tech skills. The digital divide won’t close itself – but together, we’re closing it. 💪

Youth Day 2026: Partnering with Meta for a Safer Digital Africa 🇿🇦✨

Yesterday, Siyafunda CTC was honored to join Meta’s Youth Safety Summit to mark Youth Day and commemorate 50 years since the historic 1976 Soweto Uprising.

This year’s summit put a critical spotlight on youth online safety and mental wellbeing. As Meta introduced powerful new teen safety tools across its platforms, our peers at Digify Africa highlighted their Digify Pro initiative—a phenomenal program opening tangible digital career pathways for the next generation.

The room was filled with vital, collaborative voices. We were privileged to engage with key panelists, youth advocates, leading social media influencers, and crucial government partners, including:

The Department of Basic Education (DBE)

The Film and Publication Board (FPB)

Driving these conversations forward is central to our mission. Digital literacy is empty without digital security; youth online safety is absolutely non-negotiable.
