The Merge of George Lions and Eden Lions
6 June 2026

An important milestone as we reflect on an end of an era — the Eden Lions have officially merged with the George Lions.

While we honour the legacy, service, and memories built within the Eden Lions, we also look forward with hope and excitement for what lies ahead.

May this new chapter mark the beginning of something truly beautiful, stronger together in service and community impact under the spirit of Lions Clubs International.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this meaningful occasion.

Our oceans cover 70% of our planet, feed billions, and keep the air we breathe clean. Yet every year millions of tons of plastic find their way into those same waters

Today we’re reminded: protecting our oceans is protecting our future.

As Lions, we serve where there’s a need – and our oceans are calling. Let’s keep our shores clean and our seas thriving for generations to come 💙

🐝 Happy World Bee Day from George Lions Club! 🌻

Today we celebrate the tiny heroes that keep our world buzzing – our bees! 💛

Bees pollinate our food, sustain our ecosystems, and remind us how small acts create huge impact. Without them, life as we know it wouldn’t thrive.

Let’s protect these vital pollinators by planting bee-friendly flowers, avoiding harmful pesticides, and spreading awareness 🌸

Here’s to a sweeter, healthier planet – all thanks to the bees! 🍯

The Garden Route District Municipalith is coordinating various items to communities in distress. If you can perhaps assist by donating non-perishable food, mattresses and/or blankets, please assist? Donations can be deliveres in George at our sub office in Mission Street (next to the Railway Museum).
