NYDA GRANT PROGRAMME 2026

The NYDA Grant Programme funds youth-owned businesses from R1,000 to R250,000 (up to R300,000 for agriculture and technology).

This is a non-repayable grant, not a loan. If used correctly and approved, you do not pay it back. You must be aged 18-35, a South African citizen, and the business must be 100% youth-owned. Applications are made through the NYDA ERP Portal online, not at branch offices. Beyond money, NYDA provides mentorship, business training, and market linkages.

The following documentation is required to upload on the ERP portal:

• Certified copy of your SA ID (smart card: both sides)
• Certified IDs of all members/shareholders (for entities and co-ops)
• CIPC registration documents (if registered company or co-op)
• Business plan with financial projections, market analysis, and operational details
• Supplier quotes (itemised, recent, matching your requested amount)
• Bank confirmation letter (business account in the name of the entity)
• Proof of Business Management Training completion (or willingness to complete)
• Proof of address (business premises or home if operating from home)
