Southern Africa has lost an estimated 50% of its wetlands ... the remaining wetlands status: Approximately 48% of wetland ecosystem types are critically endangered, and over 70% of wetlands have no protection.

Southern Roan Antelope (Hippotragus equinus equinus). Roan refers to the colour.
The name "Hippotragus" combines the Greek words "hippo" (horse) and "tragos" (he-goat), reflecting their horse-like appearance and the goat-like horns. The genus includes the sable antelope, roan antelope, and the extinct blue antelope. #
