🦏💚 A young artist with a big love for rhinos!

Our youngest adopter of Shinkwe, Lea, recently drew this beautiful rhino for a school assignment and shared it with us. 🎨

Lea is very close to Patrys and Chané, so it made the picture even more special to receive.

We absolutely love seeing the next generation growing up with a love for rhinos and conservation. 💚

Patrys came across this absolutely stunning Southern Tree Agama at Insimbi — and honestly, it looks almost like a Pokémon! 🦎

These colourful little reptiles have a fascinating social life too. They live in structured colonies, usually made up of a dominant male, several females and juveniles. The males defend their territories and will even battle other males when necessary.

Adults can often be found perched on lateral branches or tree trunks, although they occasionally make their way down to the ground.

A moment that carries a lot of meaning.

Rhino horn is made of keratin — the same protein found in our hair and fingernails — and removing it does not harm the rhino when carried out correctly by experienced veterinary professionals.

For us, every decision comes back to one thing: keeping our rhinos safe.

🌍 From Certification to Deployment

This month, two of our freshly certified Rangers will begin their internships on the ground, taking the next step from training into real-world field experience.

At the same time, a team of CROW instructors is preparing training equipment for an upcoming mission with Rangers in a West African country.

Two different deployments. One common purpose: putting training into practice and supporting Rangers where it matters most—on the ground.

The preparations are underway.

WILDLIFE WEDNESDAY: THE REVEAL! 🐾

Thank you to everyone who put their guessing hats on! 👀

The answer was IMPALA!

Impalas can leap up to 3 metres high and around 10 metres across in a single jump! That incredible agility comes in handy when navigating the bush and escaping danger.

They’re also remarkably adaptable when it comes to water. Impalas can get much of the moisture they need from the plants they eat and morning dew, allowing them to cope for periods without drinking.

And the females have another clever survival trick — they can delay giving birth when conditions aren't favourable, waiting for a better time for their calf to arrive.
