Sci Care South Africa

Sci Care South Africa Sci-Care SA is a harm reduction initiative that provides peer counselling and specialized care services at festivals within the Western Cape of South Africa.

Sci Care South Africa is a science-based Psychedelic Support and Harm Prevention initiative in operation in SA since the early 2000s and was officially awarded its Non-Profit Company status on 7th August 2019 as Sci Care South Africa NPC 2019/386442/08 Our service has been designed to ensure the psychological and physical safety of festival attendees, offering a calm and safe environment for indiv

iduals undergoing difficult substance or otherwise related experiences. While we do not condone the consumption of illegal substances, we acknowledge that illicit drug use does occur at festivals. We facilitate these situations in a manner which not only provides individuals with potential opportunities for growth but also significantly reduces the number of drug-related hospitalizations and arrests. We also offer training and education on how to respond to these unique situations, as well as promoting awareness of harm prevention practices. Sci-Care SA is non-profit service which operates on a volunteer basis. If you would like to get involved, or to contact us about having our service at your event please send us a message via the Sci-Care SA page or via email [email protected]

Firstly.

If you have an issue with trans-rights and gender dysphoria, unlearn how you feel and see things from another point of view. It’s not about you, it’s about them, who they are, what they feel. It’s not about your beliefs which are formed from your cultural experience.

Secondly

New study suggests psychedelics can decrease the fear of death.

“According to a new survey conducted by researchers at Johns Hopkins Medicine, published Aug. 24 in the journal PLOS ONE, people’s attitudes about death change after both a psychedelic drug experience and a non-drug-related out-of-body experience. The researchers split more than 3,000 participants into two groups: those who had previously had an extraordinary non-drug experience, and those who had used a psychedelic drug: psilocybin (found in magic mushrooms), lysergic acid diethylamide (L*D), ayahuasca, or N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT). They found that about 90% of people in both groups were less afraid of death than they had been before their experiences.”

Legal psychedelic therapy coming to Thailand!

"The Thai Narcotics Control Board announced it will develop medicine from hallucinogenic magic mushrooms to help cure the nation’s depressed citizens.

The Narcotics Control Board will use specific areas in Khon Kaen to farm the magic mushrooms for the studies and will invite other universities in other parts of Thailand to join the research.

The Justice Minister, Somsak Thepsuthin, said like Kratom, magic mushrooms will be removed from the Narcotics Category 5 list if the studies are successful."
