We invite all Old Stithians working or studying in the legal profession — including law students, candidates, attorneys, associates, legal secretaries, magistrates and judges to join us for an informal evening of networking and connection.

Come along to Higher Ground Restaurant for a complimentary evening of sharing advice, exchanging stories, making connections and growing our Old Stithian legal community.

The evening will be lead by Old Stithian, Davide Bishop-Class of 2006, along with an opportunity to meet fellow Old Stithians in the legal profession. The OSA will provide snacks and refreshments.

We hope this will be the beginning of a strong and connected Old Stithian legal network, creating opportunities for mentorship, professional connections and ongoing engagement and opportunities for more career evenings to come!

OLD STITHIAN SARAH HILL TAKES CAPE PIONEER TREK!
We’re incredibly proud to celebrate Sarah Hill (Class of 2011), who has just taken the overall win at the Cape Pioneer Trek a grueling five-day stage race through the Western Cape, racing from Wilderness to Louvain to Oudtshoorn.

Competing in the UCI Elite Women’s category, Sarah and her teammate won every stage, racing in the leaders’ jersey throughout and ultimately claiming the overall victory!

The Cape Pioneer Trek is a UCI C1 Category Stage Race, meaning riders earn global UCI points which can contribute towards qualification for prestigious events such as the World Marathon Championships and Cape Epic.

But this victory means so much more than the result.
Earlier this year, Sarah was told that stage racing longer than 3–4 days might be off the cards for the rest of her career due a hiatal hernia that cannot be fixed. It flares up really badly during stage races and consecutive days of racing were taking a toll on her body. Instead of pushing through, her team chose rest, recovery and rebuilding.

Her 2026 focus became one-day events, performing under pressure and rebuilding her strength from the inside out.

And now? Five days. Every stage won. Overall victory. Pain-free!

“Just to be able to FINISH an event longer than 3 days pain-free is a feeling I can’t express. Relief? Disbelief? Truly understanding the power of rest & recovery? All of it.”
Sarah also acknowledges that none of this would have been possible without her incredible team and support from Efficient Infiniti Insurance.

And that pink jersey?
The last time Sarah earned it was back in 2019.

It’s been a long journey back up the ladder and what an incredible way to return.

Congratulations, Sarah! Your determination, resilience and commitment are something the entire Old Stithian community can be incredibly proud of!
