500 Learnership Opportunities Open for Raymond Mhlaba Youth

Young, unemployed residents of Raymond Mhlaba Municipality now have a chance to gain paid work experience, new skills, and a pathway to long-term employment through a major new recruitment drive. Seriti Institute, working in partnership with the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), is recruiting 500 unemployed youth and Team Leaders to take part in the National Youth Service (NYS) Programme, a flagship initiative under the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative (PYEI). Locally, the programme is being rolled out in collaboration with the Raymond Mhlaba Economic Development Agency (RMEDA).

✅ PUBLIC NOTICE: Water Interruptions in Alice Tomorrow

Good evening residents,

The Amathole District Municipality wishes to inform residents of Raymond Mhlaba Local Municipality that there may be water supply interruptions in some areas of Alice tomorrow, Wednesday, 1 July 2026.

This is due to essential maintenance work at the Alice Water Treatment Works (changing settling tank valves), which requires the plant to be temporarily taken offline.

> Please store enough water for domestic use and use it sparingly during this period. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and our teams will work hard to restore supply as soon as the maintenance is completed.
