St Francis Outreach Trust Supporting vulnerable children: orphaned or abandoned through HIV/Aids in Cape Town's South Peninsula

"Homes to Grow" is the flagship project of the St Francis Outreach Trust providing shelter and support for orphaned, abandoned or HIV affected children. Two foster care homes were in established in Masiphumelele in 2010 and house six children each and their house mothers. Nine dedicated trustees from diverse professional backgrounds manage the trust and oversee the requirements of the children as

well as the operational running of the homes. The project falls under the umbrella of the "Home from Home" organisation which presently operates and supports over 25 community-based foster homes.

We celebrated On Saturday 6. June 2026 the 17 years of the St Francis Outreach Trust with our children and 50 friends in attendance at the Barracudas Restaurant in Fishhoek. Mrs Sofianos entertained us with funny stories about what happens and mishappens before the glamor pictures of famous models are taken.
