When I discovered you had autism last year, I was taken aback, wondering how and why my precious boy. I wasn’t prepared, and my heart ached with uncertainty. But despite your non-verbal communication, we’ve developed our own special way of connecting. Your affectionate hugs and kisses, always checking in on me, melt my heart. You’ve taught me so much about love, resilience, and joy. I’m honored to be your mom, and I cherish the journey we’re on together. Thank you for being my shining light and beautiful love. I love you son.

For many girls, s*xual abuse leads to unwanted pregnancy as teenage girls who have been forced into s*x are less likely to have the opportunity or choice to use contraceptives.
In many places girls are at greatest risk of exposure to s*xual violence within the context of close relationships such as those with family and friends .
Lack of safe access to water and sanitation and safe passages to schools can also increase the risks of s*xual abuse .
However poverty combined with a high cost of education, lack of parental care and lack of income support for children, may lead girls to be forced by circumstance to exchange s*x for money and goods.ln some cases, teachers may even blackmail girls for s*xual favours. We continue to empower and advocate for a every girl child

A non profit making Organisation that seeks to Empower, Educate and Emancipate teenage mothers. So much abuse and stigma is faced by these young girls in our society. Our is aim to identify the abused, the struggling and oppressed teenage mothers who dropped out of school due to teen pregnancy; rehabilitate them; re-intergrate them into society; while fighting the stigma through educating the community itself.
Girl Pride Africa is a non-profit organization based in Masiphumelele, that seeks to empower every girl child and teenage mother, ages 13-23, and their children, by connecting them to a supportive community of other teen mothers and adult mentors, equipping them with desired life skills, and, ultimately, impacting their future in a positive way.
600,000 TEENS BECOME PREGNANT EACH YEAR. GIRL PRIDE AFRICA IS DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
Girl Pride Africa is a non-profit organization that was founded October 2016. Created from a lack of existing services for teen moms and pregnant teens, we wanted to give teen moms a positive place where they felt loved instead of judged. We offer a weekly life skills program for teen mothers and pregnant teens at our 6 locations throughout Cape Town for now. Girl Pride Africa encourages setting educational and career goals for each teen mom that we work with and walks beside her to accomplish her goals as well as to provide a safe place of encouragement, hope and support through mentors and their fellow community of teenage mothers. We encourage independence through teaching life skill classes such as; budgeting, money management, job interviewing skills, resume building, cooking, self defence, nutrition, stress and anger management, relationship workshops and so much more. Girl Pride Africa is not only changing lives in the world of teen moms, it is also changing the community and every girl child.
The impact of a girl who will not stay on welfare throughout her lifetime and who is going to give her and her child a brighter future leads to a better economy and society.
