Mining Indaba 2026 is officially underway!

We kicked things off with a strong and impactful opening ceremony and were honoured to be joined by incredible leaders:
🔹Hon. Geordin Hill-Lewis, Executive Mayor of Cape Town
🔹Mr Frans Baleni, Chair of the Mining Indaba Advisory Board
🔹Samaila Zubairu, President & CEO of Africa Finance Corporation
🔹Hon. Minister Gwede Mantashe, Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources of South Africa.

At Investing in African Mining Indaba 2026, the call was clear: Africa’s mining future depends on partnership. Under the theme “Stronger Together: Progress Through Partnerships,” the opening address highlighted mining’s role in driving sustainable development, industrialisation and the global energy transition. With Africa holding many of the world’s critical minerals, collaboration, inclusive growth and diverse leadership are essential to turning resource wealth into shared prosperity.

A massive thank you to all for setting the tone for an impactful week ahead!
