*Pikitup Bin replacements*

*_If your bin is broken or has been stolen, you can follow these steps:_*

🚮 Stolen, report the theft at your police station and obtain a case number or affidavit - 1st replacement is free (if stolen again within eight years, you will have to pay)

🚮 Have your municipal account (and case number if stolen) ready before calling the call centre

🚮 Call the call centre on ‪087 357 1068‬ or the CoJ call centre on ‪0860 56 28 74‬, follow the prompts and request a bin replacement

🚮 A reference number will be supplied. Please keep it.

🚮 If calling the City call centre, the reference will be passed on to a Pikitup official who will attend to your request

🚮 Operating hours: 8 am to 4.30 pm from Monday to Friday

* Pikitup will replace a broken bin free of charge. Keep the broken bin.*

All 240-litre wheeled bins used in the city belongs to Pikitup. Moving home or business, your bin must remain at the existing property.

During the past few months there has been an alarming spike in cable theft and electrical sub-station (TSS) vandalization.

Community members are requested to be extra vigilant to help combat this crime.

Should there be a breakdown in electricity supply in the run-up to the festive period, there is a likelihood of prolonged delays.

City Power’s operational effectiveness could be restrained as technicians are likely to go on annual leave.

Procurement of essential spares during this period is an added challenge.
