VACANCY AT POLOKONG CHILDREN’S VILLAGE AS A PROJECT MANAGER

Requirements and Responsibilities
• NPO Project Manager (first level manager) manages a team that coordinates the programs of the NPO.
• Designs and implements programs that support the organisation’s mission, vision & goals;
• To monitor program operations for quality, efficiency and effectiveness;
• To utilise a client relationship or another system to organise information and facilitate outreach communications, perform forecasting and measure the performance of programs;
• To implement fundraising and development strategies to identify potential donors or funding sources and conduct outreach initiatives;
• To collaborate with partners to ensure that special events publicise the organisation and its programs to the community and support its goals;
• To assist in the development of grant applications or proposals;
• Reports to the Director of the NPO;
• To manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their job;
• To ensure that the project/departments goals are met;
• Adherence to approved budgets and has full authority of personnel actions
• 3 years and more experience in welfare;
• Manage, supervise, motivate, support and evaluate project coordinators and administrative staff;
• Network with relevant stakeholders;
• Plan, budget and report on progress monthly to the Board and funders;
• Ensure the development and maintain operative database and record keeping system;
• Compile statistics of groups and numbers reached in programme;
• Human resource matters such as staff attendance, staff/volunteer appointments;
• Marketing of organisation;
• Good problem-solving skills;
• Good communication ability;
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Must reside in the Vaal/Sedibeng Area;
