Housekeeping Supervisor – Game Reserve in Zululand

A well-established game reserve in Zululand is looking for a
reliable, hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to join its team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising
the housekeeping department and ensuring that all guest accommodation, public
areas, and back-of-house areas are cleaned, prepared, and maintained to a high
standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including room
checks, staff allocations, laundry coordination, and public area cleanliness.

Ensure all rooms, lodges, and guest areas are cleaned and
presented to a high standard.

Supervise, motivate, and support housekeeping staff.

Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up to ensure
they are resolved.

Manage cleaning stock, linen, and housekeeping supplies.

Assist with staff training, discipline, and performance
monitoring.
Ensure guest requests and complaints are handled
professionally and efficiently.
Requirements:

Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is
essential.

Previous supervisory experience will be an advantage.
Must be hands-on, organised, and able to work under
pressure.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication and leadership skills.
Must be willing to work weekends, public holidays, and
shifts as required.
Driver’s licence will be an advantage.

- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and correspondence.
- Utilize technology effectively, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Canva, for various projects and communications.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the school’s standards for personal hygiene and dress code.
- Support the school community in various capacities, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment.

Qualifications:
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans is mandatory.
- Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably in a school setting, is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and familiarity with Canva.
- First aid training is an advantage.

Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 06:45 to 15:45
- Maximum of 5 Saturdays per term.
- ⁠25 days Annual Leave (Given specifically over School Holidays)
