Last week, our Grade 1 learners took their Mathematics lesson outdoors for a refreshing change of scenery. Working in groups, they collaborated with their classmates, sharing ideas, chatting, laughing, and learning together. The fresh morning air, combined with hands-on learning and teamwork, created a fun and engaging learning experience. It was wonderful to see how much they enjoyed learning alongside their friends while making the most of the beautiful outdoor setting.

Mrs. Cheesman, Mrs. Keightley, Mrs. de Waal, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Pearson attended a workshop in Durban on Saturday.

The Remedial Teacher's Association hosted an insightful workshop on two relevant and important topics in Education. Dr. Shireen Mohamed demystified IQ reports while Dr. Nerica Ramsundhar equipped teachers with strategies to support neurodivergent learners.
Thank you to these experts for sharing their knowledge and thank you Kloof Primary School for hosting this event.

During today’s STEAM lesson, the Grade 3 learners worked collaboratively in groups to design and build straw boats. This hands-on activity encouraged teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving as they brought their ideas to life.

What a busy morning at the Fruit Market!!

The Gr. 000's thoroughly enjoyed their role play activity this morning!

The 'market' turned into a hive of activity as the managers, workers and customers took every opportunity to interact, sell and buy. The fruit stock flew off the shelves and customers freely "tapped" for transaction after transaction taking place.

The Grade 3 learners had fun exploring new words using dictionaries!

By using dictionaries, learners can work on their own to explore unfamiliar words, grasp their definitions and identify appropriate usage. This also empowers students to engage with language outside the classroom, bolstering their confidence and self-reliance.

They learnt how to find words in alphabetical order and discover their meanings. This not only expands vocabulary but also aids in becoming confident, independent readers.
