Sustainability in the heart of the Zambezi 🌍💧

Listen to our beloved maintenance man, Bengani Nyati explain our trusted water filtration system at ! This system draws water directly from the Zambezi river, purifies it for safe daily use and drinking; helping the island operate more sustainably and reduce reliance on Zimbabwe’s main water supply.

At Tsowa Safari Island, innovation and conservation go hand in hand. Through thoughtful solutions like this, we are able to protect the incredible, indigenous ecosystem that surrounds us while creating a more sustainable Safari experience for future generations 💧🌱🐘

The Isibindi Foundation is dedicated to creating meaningful change through community upliftment, conservation, and sustainable tourism across Africa. Through every stay at Isibindi Africa Lodges, guests become philanthropic travellers; directly supporting projects that empower local communities, protect natural ecosystems, and preserve wildlife for future generations.

Through our social media platforms, we aim to share transparent, authentic, and unfiltered stories from the field; showcasing the real people, conservation efforts, sustainability initiatives, and community projects that make a lasting impact every day.

Last month, the Isibindi Foundation proudly funded and hosted a two-day workshop led by Aubrey from Aladin Learning Solutions, for ECD practitioners from Little Bird Crèche and Siyazama Crèche. These are two of the crèches we work closely with, and supporting them means investing in the future of the children in our local communities around Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge .

🍂 April is a season of change, and at Isibindi Foundation, a season of impact.

As the bush softens, something powerful continues to grow: opportunity.

Through the Isibindi Foundation, every stay helps:
✨ Support and assist anti-poaching in Zambezi National Park

This World Health Day, it’s about more than awareness, it’s about action.

From packing food parcels that will reach vulnerable households, to harvesting fresh produce, to delivering essential resources to the local clinic - every effort is rooted in care and community.

At the Isibindi Foundation, we believe that true wellbeing starts with access - to food, to support, and to opportunity. Together, we continue to uplift the communities that are at the heart of everything we do.

Because when communities thrive, everything else follows.

Where the ocean meets community, something extraordinary has grown. 🌊

Through the partnership between Isibindi Foundation and Thonga Beach Lodge, conservation and community upliftment walk hand in hand.

From protecting nesting turtles along the shores of iSimangaliso Wetland Park to supplying clean water to households in Mabibi, from marine monitoring and beach clean-ups to education support and meaningful employment. This is impact you can feel.

This hero story is about more than a lodge. It’s about people empowered, wildlife protected, and a coastline cared for with intention.

Travel that treads gently. Hospitality that gives back.
This is the Isibindi way. 💚

Raise a glass for a cause 🥂

At Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge, every bottle of our house wine enjoyed contributes to something bigger. A percentage of your purchase goes directly to supporting the K9 Unit. Protecting wildlife, preserving wilderness, and keeping our rhinos safe for generations to come.

Sip with purpose. Stay with impact. 🍷🐾

On World Wildlife Day, we celebrate the wild places that inspire us and the communities who help protect them. 🌍🦏🐢

Through the work of the Isibindi Foundation, conservation is more than a commitment, it’s a partnership. From supporting anti-poaching K9 units and marine monitoring, to protecting turtles along the shores of iSimangaliso Wetland Park and safeguarding wildlife in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, every initiative is rooted in care for both people and planet.

Because protecting wildlife means uplifting the communities who live alongside it.

Today, we honour the rangers, the monitors, the educators, and the next generation of conservation custodians. The wild is worth protecting and together, we ensure it thrives. 💚
