*Please be vigilant when traveling on the R34 and particularly at the new "Stop-and-Go"*

A guy was attacked 31/05 while waiting in the queue .

They smashed his window and proceeded to stab him several times with a knife. The aggressiveness of the attack indicates that they have no regard for one's life and blatantly do this in the presence of other vehicles. He is ok, he has sustained several laserations on his left arm and has severely bruised ribs.

⚠️*Trigger warning*⚠️

The heartbreaking reality of animal welfare.

Today we where called out for a suspected abandonement case. We where not prepared for the heartbreaking scene we found.

Upon arrival at the empty property we saw a deceased puppy lying in the driveway, knowing that we needed to act fast as there could be more compromised dogs on the property, we contacted the Empangeni CPF to accompany us onto the property.

With the help of the CPF, we removed a total of 3 live, emaciated puppies and one deceased puppy.

Tonight these 3 survivors will sleep in a warm bed with a full tummy.

We are investigating this matter and will hold the person/s accountable that left these dogs to starve.

To abandon an animal is a criminal offence punishable by law under the Animals Protection Act 71 of 1962.
If for whatsover reason a person cannot keep their animal, please contact the spca. We will take any animal under any circumstance without judgement.

Residents of empangeni yet again were left without running water in their taps over the last 48 hours after what could have been an actor of sabotage or lack of maintenance by the water works department

Empangeni CPF in conjunction with the Empangeni Muslim Relief Team (EMRT) and Phoenix cash n carry wholesalers got together and decided to do a water drive in empangeni, dropping off water at household throughout the town.

Residents expressed their gratitude towards this act of kindness from the team above.

💀 POISONING ALERT 💀

We have received few reports of cat poisoning over the last month and this month in empangeni in the kildare/richem area .
Please be extra alert if you have pets that tend to wander out from your yard.

Death by poisoning is arguably the most cruel and inhumane way to kill an animal.
A poisoning incident is a crime and should always be reported to your local SAPS as such.

Anyone with information on the poisoning culprit(s) must please come forward.
