A Huge Shoutout to Our Motorcycle Clubs!

A massive thank you to Steelwings, Alligators and Roadhogs Motorcycle Clubs for organising such an incredible event in support of the Empangeni SPCA!

It was wonderful to see so many passionate riders come together to ride, raise awareness and collect much-needed food and donations for animals in need.

Your generosity, effort and commitment to supporting the SPCA truly make a difference.

This morning the Empangeni SPCA was contacted by a concerned member of the public, regarding a dog crying/howling in the bushes by Eden Park School, (near Garden Clinic)This dog was heard crying yesterday as well. Our team went to investigate and found this girl tied to a tree with wire. She is now safe at our kennels and enjoying a good meal and fresh water. As you can see her ears were cut some time ago, she must have been in such pain. Humans can be so cruel. We urge the public to contact us to collect an animal if they don't want it anymore, and not to leave it to fend for themselves.

We have some good news to share!🎉

The NSPCA has been named Best Animal Welfare Advocacy 2026 for South Africa in the African Excellence Awards. 🐾

We are proud of this one, and prouder still of the people behind it. For more than 70 years, our Inspectors have stood up for animals across South Africa, enforcing the Animals Protection Act, investigating cruelty, and answering the call in every province, on the days that make headlines and the many more that do not.

This award is shared with every Inspector on the road, every team member behind the scenes, and every South African who has ever reported cruelty or supported the work. Thank you for standing with the animals, and with us.

To celebrate Heritage month in September, Empangeni SPCA is selling tickets at R50ea. to raise much needed funds. The stainless steel braai was donated by Manne moet Braai and the Braaibroekie by Braaibroekie Tickets are available at Paws Charity Shop as well as Empangeni Vet Hospital.🇿🇦🐩🐈🫏🐐
