انطلاق ورشة عمل "المناظرات ومهارات التفاوض" ضمن برنامج "أنا مصري.. أنا أفريقي"
انطلقت منذ قليل فعاليات ورشة العمل بعنوان "المناظرات ومهارات التفاوض"، ضمن برنامج "أنا مصري.. أنا أفريقي"، الذي تنظمه مبادرة أفروميديا للصحافة والإعلام، بالتعاون مع جامعة الأهرام الكندية، بمشاركة نخبة من المتخصصين في الشأن الإفريقي والاقتصادي.
قدم الورشة الدكتور أحمد مختار، استشاري التفاوض وإدارة النزاعات وبناء السلام والمناظرات والسياسات العامة، حيث استعرض في مستهل حديثه الأسس العلمية لعملية التفاوض، مؤكدًا أهمية الحفاظ على الموارد والعلاقات، وتعزيز التواصل والحوار البنّاء بين الأطراف، إلى جانب التخطيط الجيد وتبادل المعلومات لضمان نجاح العملية التفاوضية. كما تناول مراحل التفاوض، بدءًا من المساومة وصولًا إلى مرحلة الإغلاق، التي يتم خلالها الاتفاق على الشروط والأحكام بين الأطراف.
وفي الجزء الثاني من الورشة، تناول الدكتور أحمد مختار مفهوم المناظرات، موضحًا أنها تمثل اختلافًا في وجهات النظر بين طرفين حول موضوع محدد، حيث يسعى كل طرف إلى عرض رؤيته والدفاع عنها، مستعرضا أنواع المناظرات، والتي تشمل المناظرات العلنية والخاصة، والتنافسية والتعاونية، وكذلك المناظرات الفردية والجماعية.
وأكد مختار على أهمية اختيار موضوع محدد وواضح للمناظرة، مع ضرورة الاعتماد على معلومات دقيقة ومكتملة، مشيرًا إلى دور الافتراضات في تشكيل النقاش، سواء كانت إيجابية أو سلبية، وفقًا لمدى وضوح المعلومات المتاحة، كما شدد على أهمية استخدام عبارات واضحة ومختصرة ومحايدة تتناسب مع الجمهور المستهدف.
وتطرق إلى أنواع موضوعات المناظرات، والتي تشمل الموضوعات ذات القيمة، والسياسية، وموضوعات التفضيل، وموضوعات الحقيقة، مؤكدًا ضرورة دعم الطرح بالحجج القوية والأدلة، مثل الإحصاءات والحقائق العلمية والوثائق التاريخية، مستعرضا عناصر بناء الحجة، والتي تتضمن الادعاء والتفسير، بما يضمن تقديم طرح منطقي قادر على إقناع الآخرين، إلى جانب تناول آليات دحض الحجج والمغالطات المنطقية من خلال تحديد الفكرة وتحليلها وتوضيح الموقف منها، وشهدت الورشة تفاعلًا ملحوظًا من الحضور، الذين شاركوا بمداخلات وأسئلة أثرت النقاش، في إطار حرص البرنامج على تنمية مهارات الشباب في مجالات الحوار والتفكير النقدي والتواصل الفعّال.
Workshop on "Debates and Negotiation Skills" Kicks Off Under the "I am Egyptian... I am African" Program
The workshop titled "Debates and Negotiation Skills" launched recently as part of the "I am Egyptian... I am African" program.
Organized by the Afromedia Initiative for Journalism and Media in cooperation with Ahram Canadian University (ACU), the event saw the participation of a distinguished group of experts in African affairs and economics.
Key Highlights of the Workshop
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Ahmed Mokhtar, a consultant in negotiation, conflict management, peacebuilding, public policy, and debates. The session was divided into two core segments:
1. The Art of Negotiation
Dr. Mokhtar outlined the scientific foundations of the negotiation process, emphasizing:
Resource & Relationship
Management: The importance of preserving resources while maintaining strong interpersonal ties.
Constructive Dialogue: Enhancing communication and planning to ensure success.
Information Exchange: Using data as a strategic tool during talks.
Negotiation Stages: Moving from the initial bargaining phase to the closing phase, where final terms and conditions are established.
2. The Mechanics of Debating
In the second half, the focus shifted to debates—defined as a difference in viewpoints between two parties on a specific topic.
Key takeaways included:
Types of Debates: Public vs. private, competitive vs. collaborative, and individual vs. group formats.
Clarity and Precision: The necessity of choosing clear topics and relying on accurate, complete information.
The Role of Assumptions: How positive or negative assumptions shape the trajectory of a discussion based on available data.
Effective Language: Using concise, neutral, and audience-appropriate terminology.
Building Strong Arguments
Dr. Mokhtar categorized debate topics into four types: Value-based, Political, Preference, and Fact-based. He stressed that any argument must be supported by:
Evidence: Including statistics, scientific facts, and historical documents.
Logic: Building a case through a clear claim followed by a detailed explanation.
Refutation: Mastering the mechanics of debunking counter-arguments and identifying logical fallacies by analyzing ideas and clarifying opposing stances.
Conclusion, The workshop witnessed significant engagement from attendees, whose questions and interventions enriched the discussion. This initiative reflects the program's commitment to developing youth skills in critical thinking, dialogue, and effective communication.
