The SALLR s’ 42 nd annual seminar is the kind of continuing learning event that you always promised yourself you will attend.

🚨 The Entrepreneur 2026 Buffalo City Edition Media Launch and COMPETITION

The Border-Kei Chamber of Business proudly announces that entries for The Entrepreneur 2026 – Buffalo City Edition are officially open! The Media Launch for this training programme was held at King Phalo Airport on the 10th of June 2026 in collaboration with ACSA, King Phalo Airport and our media partner, the Daily Dispatch.

COMPETITION ENTRIES NOW OPEN! ✈️
The Entrepreneur competition has allowed the Border Kei Chamber of Business, with the support of academic and professional partners, to establish itself at the forefront of entrepreneurial development and SMME support in the Border Kei Region, Eastern Cape.

The programme is widely endorsed and recognised as a business accelerator programme that aims to find entrepreneurial gems in the Border Kei Region and develop and support them to sustainable levels of growth.
This flagship Programme will run over a period of 10 weeks during which competition finalists will be exposed to intensive business modelling, both through tuition and practical application. Finalists will also be supported through mentorship by Border Kei Chamber of Business accredited mentors from a wide range of sectors and professions.

The 2026 competition aims to attract the best SMME talent in our region. 20 SMMEs will be selected to participate in the competition.
Apart from the business development funding and marketing collateral received by entrepreneurs, the competition provides an opportunity for the finalists to gain critical business skills, receive mentorship and training, and prepare a comprehensive business plan that will allow them to grow and develop their businesses.

HR Forum | Brain Apps Powering the Future of HR

The Border-Kei Chamber of Business Employment Relations Forum recently hosted its HR Forum at the Blue Lagoon Hotel, where guest speaker Carey-Lyn Kurten presented an insightful session on "Brain Apps Powering the Future of HR."

The session explored the Six Seconds Brain Talent Profile, demonstrating how understanding our natural brain talents can enhance emotional intelligence, strengthen leadership, improve communication, and build more effective, high-performing teams. Delegates gained practical insights into applying these tools to unlock individual and organizational potential.

As part of the event, Six Seconds generously sponsored 20 complimentary Brain Talent Assessments, giving attendees the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of their unique strengths and thinking preferences.
