Today, 20 May, became a day of hope, compassion, and humanity for one struggling family in Hoyi Location Ward 5. What began as a painful cry for help has now turned into a powerful reminder that there are still people in our communities who care deeply about the lives of others.
The living conditions seen in this home touched many hearts. The family has been living under extremely difficult circumstances, surrounded by hardship and uncertainty. Yet in the middle of that pain, kindness found its way to their doorstep.
The Pinky Tsako Foundation, together with incoming Ward 5 Councillor Dumisani Tyuwa, responded immediately after learning about the family’s situation. Moved by the conditions in which the family has been living, they mobilized support from community members and good Samaritans who were willing to lend a helping hand.
Today, the team will visit the family with gifts and essentials that were generously donated. These include groceries, school uniforms, and other necessities aimed at restoring dignity, comfort, and hope to the household. More importantly, the Department of Social Development has also responded to the call and will be present to assess and assist the family further.
This moment is bigger than donations. It is about reminding one another that no family should suffer alone while there are people who can help. It is about community, compassion, and standing together in times of need.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to every person who contributed, whether through money, clothes, food, prayers, or simply sharing the message until help arrived. Your kindness has become a light in someone’s darkest moment.
May God bless each and every person who opened their hearts to this family. May He expand your territory, multiply what you give from, and continue to use you as vessels of hope and restoration in the lives of others.
Together, we are proving that humanity still exists.
