Today marks a special moment in the history of Nompumelelo Football Club.

In only our second season, we have won our first-ever trophy, becoming champions of the June 16 Youth Day Tournament in Ward 15, Nompumelelo Township, KuGompo.

This victory is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our players, coaches, management, supporters, and the entire Nompumelelo community. What started as a dream has now become a reality.

REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE: SPORTS GROUND MAINTENANCE & PITCH PREPARATION

Nompumelelo Football Club together with the football community of Nompumelelo Township humbly requests assistance with a grader machine and sports ground maintenance support.

Our community football teams are currently facing serious challenges regarding the condition of our playing and training grounds. The pitch we use is unsafe, uneven, and difficult for players to train and compete on. This situation places young players at risk of injuries and negatively affects football development within our township.

Nompumelelo Township has several football teams and many talented young people who depend on sport as a positive lifestyle, a source of discipline, and a way to stay away from crime, drugs, and other social challenges. Unfortunately, most teams do not have access to a safe and properly maintained space to practice and host matches.

We are therefore requesting:

Assistance with a grader machine for leveling and preparing the pitch

Field maintenance support

Grass cutting and cleaning assistance

Sports development support for local teams

Community partnership to improve football facilities

Improving our sports ground will:

Create a safer environment for players

Promote youth development through sport

Support local football talent

Help the community host organized matches and tournaments

Restore pride within Nompumelelo Township

Football is more than just a game in our community — it is hope, unity, and an opportunity for young people to build a better future.

We kindly appeal to government departments, municipalities, companies, sponsors, and community stakeholders to support this important initiative.

Together, we can build a safer and better sporting environment for the youth of Nompumelelo Township.
