💙 PROMOTING DISABILITY RIGHTS AND INCLUSION

REHAB, in collaboration with Sinako Community Healthcare Centre, hosted a community awareness campaign led by Esethu S**a, a fourth-year Social Work student, as part of her community project.

The campaign focused on raising awareness about disability rights, available services, and how persons with disabilities and their families can access support.

💙💚 CELEBRATING ESINOTHANDO AUTISM CARE CENTRE 🌻

Today, REHAB was honoured to celebrate Esinothando Autism Care Centre and the incredible impact it is making in the lives of children and families in our community.

We heard heartfelt stories from parents who once felt overwhelmed, uncertain and without hope, but found support and understanding through Esinothando. Parents shared how their children have grown and changed through individualised support that recognises each child's unique needs and abilities.

From joyful children dancing, to grateful parents and community members sharing their experiences, today was a beautiful reminder that:
Every child matters. Every family deserves support. Every community needs hope. 💙

🌱 Growing Together, Naturally! 🌱

Our Community Development Worker continues to empower communities through our Natural Farming Project.

This week, we visited Tuba Disability Group in Kwelerha, where members continue to apply sustainable farming practices. Their garden is thriving, with healthy vegetables growing under natural grass mulch that helps retain moisture and improve soil health. 🌿🥬

We also conducted a monitoring visit to NU7 Group, where members were proudly harvesting fresh turnips from their garden. 👏🥕 Every harvest is a reminder that with knowledge, commitment, and teamwork, communities can grow their own food and strengthen food security.

Together, we're cultivating skills, independence, and sustainable livelihoods.

REHAB is proud to be facilitating Natural Farming Training for the Tuba Disability Group from Kwelerha and Zone 7 Mdantsane facilitated by Our Community Development worker. It is encouraging to witness community members taking active steps towards sustainable food production, self-reliance, and community development.

Together, we are cultivating more than crops—we are nurturing opportunities, inclusion, and a brighter future for persons with disabilities and their families.
