🌿 Empowering Abilities. Promoting Inclusion. Building Independence.

REHAB is proud to be facilitating Natural Farming Training for the Tuba Disability Group from Kwelerha and Zone 7 Mdantsane facilitated by Our Community Development worker. It is encouraging to witness community members taking active steps towards sustainable food production, self-reliance, and community development.

UFH First Year Social Work Workshop

REHAB social workers recently facilitated a workshop with first-year Social Work students from the University of Fort Hare (UFH), focusing on the roles of social workers, core values, theories, and key practice skills.

The workshop was conducted over three days with three different student groups, providing an interactive learning space to help students better understand and connect theory with real-life social work practice.

The sessions were highly engaging, with students actively participating, asking questions, and demonstrating strong interest in the profession.

REHAB is honoured to continue this ongoing partnership with UFH, as we have been hosting these workshops for several years to support the development of future social workers.

REHAB Strategic Planning Session 2026

REHAB board members and staff recently came together for our annual strategic planning session.

The meeting provided a space to reflect on our service delivery, discuss organisational priorities, and explore ways to strengthen and improve our work going forward.

These sessions form an important part of ensuring that REHAB continues to grow, remain responsive, and deliver quality services to persons with disabilities.

✨ Celebrating Excellence, Resilience & Inspiration ✨

Today, we proudly celebrate Sive Maqubela, one of our former REHAB Social Work Interns, on achieving a remarkable milestone — graduating with a Bachelor of Social Work 🎓👏🏾

During her time with us as a student from the University of Fort Hare (East London Campus), Sive demonstrated dedication, compassion, and a deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.

Her journey is a powerful reminder that determination knows no limits. As a wheelchair user, she has navigated spaces that are often not designed for inclusion — yet she has done so with strength, grace, and purpose.

She continues to break barriers, challenge perceptions, and inspire both peers and the communities she serves. This achievement is not just personal — it represents hope, inclusion, and the power of perseverance.

At REHAB, we are honoured to have been part of her journey and proud to witness her growth into a passionate and capable social worker.

💙 Congratulations once again, Sive! Your story is one of courage, purpose, and possibility.
