Testimony Time:

8 years ago we met Dean and Mel, they were both homeless and living in safe houses where they met. They came to us regularly for clothing and odds and ends but most importantly they came for the word of God.

They had many ups n downs but pushed through and asked if we could marry them. Right in our lounge in Jarvis road with Pastor Romi we stood witness to the marriage of Dean and Mel, what a day to remember.

Things were still hard for them but one thing remained...their eagerness to work n be better. It has taken them long but pushing through even when everyone doubts you can be very discouraging, when Dean asked for clothing or anything else our door has always been open even when it was hard to continue helping. They have remained humble never bad words for anyone who looked down on them or refused to help.

Few weeks ago Dean inboxed again asking if he can pop in by the charity shop again n I replied yes, not realizing he was busy attending interviews.

Extremely proud of yet again 👏 a family on their feet. Please support Dean his just started and we pray with him for excellence business. Continue to pray for him and Mel and Harcourt who took a leap of faith on Dean, this is a business we can honor , this is a business who looks past what we as humans see.

Professor van Niekerk from the University of Fort Hare Psychology, Social Work and Criminology Department visited Masithethe Counselling Services this week. We are very thankful for the placement of 4 post graduate Masters students to assist MCS staff with counselling and assessments.
