CHANGE OF DATE ALERT ALERT ALERT

This serves to inform you that due to anticipated severe weather conditions forecasted for 16th December 2024, the Kids Festival scheduled for 09:00 at Ebenezer High has been scheduled to SUNDAY the 15th December 2024

The safety of our children and that of attendees is our top priority, and based on the current weather outlook, we believe changing the date is the best course of action.

Tomorrow, we will pay our respects to ubhuti wethu Dumisa Ntintili, a dedicated activist and one of the most passionate supporters of Duncan Village Heritage Museum. He was more than a contributor, he was a guardian of our township 's legacy and a true believer in the power of history to unite and uplift. Through his generosity and devotion Radebe played an essential role in shaping the Museum into the community treasure it is today. We extend our gratitude to Walter Sisulu University for assisting in documenting his vast knowledge of our township's history. His legacy will endure through every story, artifact, and visitor that passes through our doors.

𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴! A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the East London Museum, represented by the Chair of the Museum Board of Trustees, Mr Mxolisi Zweni, and the Ubuntu Boxing Fraternity, represented by Secretary of the UBF, Mr Vuyani Mbinda.

The event was witnessed by our Director, Geraldine Morcom, museum historian Zuko Blauw, Mr Luyanda Kana, Mr Siphiwo Mangxola and Welcome Ncitha – former IBF Junior Featherweight World Champion!

The museum will be collaborating with the UBF on the installation of information banners at the museum featuring our Eastern Cape boxing greats with the view to the establishment of a permanent exhibition on Eastern Cape boxing.
