How special is this... September is deaf awareness month. Mia was born in September and received the gift of hearing with her cochlear implant surgery 1 day after her 5th birthday.

Her bandages were removed and she is doing well 🙏

Its been a while since our last post but its been a rollercoaster of emotions the last few weeks...

Mia was approved to have one cochlear implant done this year and one early next year. Her 1st surgery date was postponed due to authorization not coming in time, a few days before her 2nd surgery date, we received a call that Mia's surgeon had broken his wrist and surgery was delayed another 4 weeks.

Our almighty God works in the most amazing ways and we need to trust His perfect timing. Two weeks before the 3rd surgery date, medical aid approved bilateral cochlear implants and Mia had her surgery on 8 Sept 🙏🙏🙏 one surgery, one recovery 🙏 what an amazing God we serve. What seemed like constant disappointment to us, was God working in the background. Never loose faith.

Mia's surgery was a success 🙌 and she is doing well, but please keep praying for our little princess. It is still a long road ahead.

With one week to go until the RT1 Charity Golf Day things are looking up and we have some exciting news to share next week.
