*Thank you for the donation of a storeroom*

A few weeks ago we put a plea out for a storeroom as the current iThemba Home building ran out of space to store all the items needed for the children. Within a day, generous people from Switzerland offered to donate the required funds for it. Thank you so much🙏🏼 Now everything has its dedicated place in the new storeroom built by Kazin.

Alone we can do so little - together we can do so much🥰

*Bye bye big boy* 🥹

Today we say goodbye to baby A that is no longer a baby but a preschool boy now. Little A came to the iThemba Home 2 years and 2 months ago. For him that's the longest he has ever lived in the same place in his life. For him, the iThemba Home was his home. For us, A was part of the iThemba Home and absolutey loved. He was the first baby moving into the newly built iThemba Home. From a very sick baby needing 24h oxygen, he grew into a strong and healthy boy that is academically amazing.

He grew close to our hearts and we love him dearly. It is very hard and sad to say goodbye to him but we also know that a Home can never replace a family. He moved to a loving and caring extended family member with which he formed a close bond over the past 3 months. Thank you to her for becoming his new family and for loving him. We know he will be well taken care of.

*Welcome precious Baby D*

We welcomed a fragile, very little but not so young baby to the iThemba Home. At this stage, we are unsure what causes all the health issues of Baby D but we are sure that we will give Baby D the best care and lots of love🥰

Please help us to take care of neglected, abused and abandoned children with complex medical needs at the iThemba Home.

We are always in need and would appreciate any donation of:
- Nappies (size 1-5 and adult small)
- Baby wipes
- Food
- Baby products (lotion, baby oil, shampoo, soap)
- Syringes

*First Aid training at the iThemba Home*

Over the past 2 weeks, we trained all our staff members in basic first aid and essential first aid for chidren. It also included a refresher training of all the medical emergency equipment that we have at the iThemba Home.

As part of spreading important knowledge beyond the iThemba Home, we also trained 3 therapist, 1 parent of an iThemba Home kid and 1 soon-to-be foster parent of one of our kids.

Many of our kids absolutely love to blow, make, watch and pop bubbles. The sensory input of bubbles is great and brings many giggles and smiles. As we use bubbles daily, we have quite a high use of bubble refill liquid. The donation of Bubble Magic refill makes our kids so happy. It is our preferred bubble liquid because it makes a lot of long lasting bubbles.
