Quality education does not mean modern classrooms and high technology. Sometimes it’s in a form of a highly trained, fully supported and passionate teacher who defy the odds. We train & support teachers, provide daily meals and educational resources for better outcomes - in current circumstances.

Huge congratulations to our incredible youth for completing their 3-day training on Financial Literacy & Entrepreneurship powered by Taking Care of Business.

Understanding how money works and what it takes to build a successful business from the ground up is a total game-changer. This world-class training provided our young people with invaluable insights into their relationship with money and the foundational tools for entrepreneurial success. We truly believe that young people are the future—but that future relies on the quality of nurturing and empowerment they receive today. We can't wait to watch these young minds turn their knowledge into action

From classrooms to careers!

We are incredibly proud of the young people from East London who recently completed the intensive digital skills training program by Taking Care of Business East London. They went from tech beginners to mastering essential digital tools.

For disadvantaged youth, bridging the digital divide through skills training is a game-changer - t is not just about learning to type; it is about breaking barriers to learning and ultimately the cycle of poverty.

True digital equity means no young person is left behind in our fast-evolving global economy. Thank you to TCB for making it possible. To date, TCB has trained over 200 of our young people in digital skills.

Congratulations to the new graduates!

Hope looks like this…

It looks like a community coming together to reshape the future of their little ones. From broken windows now to bright smiles.

Through our Early Childhood Development (ECD) programme – we guide communities towards access to ECD services, sometimes it means starting from scratch, sometimes it looks like re-utilising a vandalised building – whatever it takes.

To every parent taking this leap of faith with us - thank you. Together, we are reshaping the future.

Your story could become a child’s favourite book.

Submit an original children’s story in one of the five indigenous African languages we are prioritising: isiNdebele, Setswana, Siswati, Tshivenda or Xitsonga.

We’re looking for stories in these languages because there are fewer published children’s books available in them. By writing in these languages, you’ll help more children discover the joy of reading in their mother tongue and contribute to growing South Africa’s collection of indigenous language stories.

Submit your story here:

This Mandela Day, our youth took action by cleaning up their hometown heritage park, proving that young people are completely unstoppable when given the right guidance and mentorship.

By restoring this heritage space, these future leaders showed that honouring the past is the first step toward building a brighter future. When we invest time in mentoring the next generation, we don't just teach them skills - we unlock their power to change the world.

The future of our community is in incredibly safe hands.

Seeing these young minds in action is a powerful reminder that they aren't waiting for permission to change the world—they are already doing it.

The kick-start of our Youth Empowerment Programme in Cathcart looked something like this and more.

Access to good nutrition is key to quality education. Our children are fed daily, without fail and are ready to learn. Thank you to The Lunchbox Fund for making this possible.

* It takes a village to raise a child - and it starts with parents.*

What a fruitful meeting with parents. Together, we are establishing an Early Childhood Development Centre - the first EVER in this village!

And guess who came to the meeting? Lol
