The South African Youth Council (SAYC) in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality extends its sincerest congratulations to the newly elected Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) of the Eastern Cape.
We wish the PEC well as it undertakes the critical responsibility of improving the lives of all young people in the province.
Young people in the Eastern Cape continue to confront a myriad of challenges, including unemployment, gender-based violence, substance abuse and crime. It is incumbent upon the newly elected PEC to provide practical and sustainable solutions to these pressing issues.
We view the election of the new PEC as an opportunity to consolidate and advance the youth development agenda in order to meaningfully change the lives of young people in the Eastern Cape.
SAYC BCMM wishes the PEC strength and wisdom in its new responsibilities and success in the task that lies ahead.
