TALENT GALORE: Breidbach IG Club in BCM in the EC Province will have a formidable force to be reckoned with in Drie Stokkies at all competitions this year. SA National Drie Stokkies champion Dellarise Christian who won back to back gold medals at National in 2022 & 2023 is one of the talented athletes produced by the Breidbach Drie Stokkies Club under the mentorship of veteran coach Desmond Coetzee!!! Will the club succeeds in its goal of winning more medals in 2026? Watch the space!!!

MEETING IN PROGRESS:The executive committee of Buffalo City Metro Indigenous Games Council in the Eastern Cape Province convened an evaluation and preparatory meeting at the offices of DSAC in Ku Gompo City (formerly East London) yesterday. Veteran and EC Drie Stokkies provincial coach Desmond Coetzee chaired the meeting described as very fruitful. Also present were veteran Nophandle Mhlauli (mother of IG in the province and department officials).Keep it up BCM!!!

Chairperson: Mr Nkosinathi Biko (Chris Hani)
Deputy Chairperson: Mr Asanda Tyaba (OR Tambo)
General Secretary: Ms Anita Bashe (NMM)
Deputy Secretary: Miss Phumlani Ngubo (Joe Nqabi)

INDIGENOUS AFFAIR: Sizzling Indigenous Games action was displayed at the festival with people interacting, making friends and having a lot of fun!!! The games boasts nine indigenous codes which are Dibeke, Diketo, Drie Stokkies, Intonga, Jukskei, Kgati, Kho-Kho, Morabaraba and Ncuva.

PRICELESS: Kho-Kho President & ECIG Council chairperson Nkosinathi Biko who represented South Africa with the national team at Kho-Kho World Cup 2025 in India early this year, was rewarded with four players of his province by the Honourable MEC Sibulele Ngongo during a Heritage Day celebration at Ntabozuko (previously Berlin) near East London on Heritage Day on Wednesday.
