Durbanville Joint Operations Committee - JOC A committee formed to improve Durbanville business, security, services and local government. To work towards avoiding inner city /CBD decay.

To inform, collaborate, co-ordinate, communicate and bring pressure amongst the respective working groups and members, to scale evidence-based solutions to address social ills, in particular, in the Durbanville environment. The JOC is a committee and not a legal body and will be driven by mutually agreed mandates with the goal of avoiding duplication of existing functions and initiatives, but to e

nhance and aid it. The group will identify problems affecting Durbanville and from there create action points . A sub committee will be created on a case-by-case basis to action and feed back to the JOC. Information from all the arms will be discussed and decisions made as to how best to assist and support. Three working groups or task teams typically make up a JOC, namely Awareness, Service and Safety groups. All matters will be approached from as many different perspectives as possible, most importantly a social, legal, governmental, and a security perspective, incorporating all of those activites to achieve the best possible outcome for all concerned.
