Sandwich Day with 🥪❤️

100 loaves of bread were lovingly spread with peanut butter & jam and distributed to those in need — reaching people on the streets, daycares, and charity organisations in our community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make a difference, one sandwich at a time.

On April 23, 1833, a small group of young people in Paris gathered with a simple goal: to serve their neighbors in need.

From that moment, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was born.

Today, on the anniversary of our founding and the birthday of our founder, Frédéric Ozanam, Vincentians continue that mission through thousands of Conferences worldwide.

Bags of Love 💛

We had the privilege of handing out Bags of Love to daycares, homeless shelters, farm workers to name a few, across the Western Cape. Each bag is a small gesture, but filled with care, hope, and kindness for those who need it most.

A heartfelt thank you to Daniel and SSVP Durbanville for making this possible — your dedication is truly making a difference in so many lives.

Sunday 16th November is World Day of the Poor instigated by Pope Francis.
St Vincent de Paul thanks the parishioners who have already so generously responded to the Bags of Love appeal to help feed the poor. Our target is 300 bags and 75 have already been received in bags and donations. Thank you all so much. Appeal ends 7 December.
The Society will also be making 2000 sandwiches to mark the day.
