Beyond the everyday: NJVC’s special outreach projects. 🤝💛
At NJVC, our weekly meals and garden are the steady heartbeat of our . But several times a year, we also open our doors to special outreach projects—focused, impactful initiatives that address urgent needs.
Here are just a few examples:
🩺 McCords Hospital health screenings – Government hospital staff come to our ashram to offer free screenings for , / , and hypertension. No appointments. No fees. Just care for those who need it most.
⚖️ Department of Justice empowerment sessions – We partner with the DOJ to educate women about their legal rights, reporting processes, and available services. Knowledge is power, and we are committed to sharing it.
🚨 Crime trends & legal rights workshops – Communities are regularly informed about the latest crime trends, cybercrimes, and the legal processes available to victims. Staying informed keeps us safe and strong.
🕯️ 16 Days of Activism Against Women & Child Abuse – During this critical annual campaign, we host representatives from the Department of who explain legal rights and reporting processes in a safe, welcoming space. Because ending abuse begins with awareness and action.
These projects each happen a few times a year. But they are essential. They bring expert knowledge and services directly to our community—free of charge, with dignity and respect.
Why do we do this? Because true service means responding to what our community needs, when it needs it. Because health, safety, and justice are not luxuries—they are rights.
