NMYC Dream Catchers Welcome to the Nelson Mandela Youth Centre- Dream Catchers official page! South Africa's youth employment rate is among the highest in the world.
(3)

Unemployment is currently a huge problem in South Africa which brings about various challenges such as poverty and socio-economic problems. One of the reasons for this is the lack of educated or skilled individuals in our country. To alleviate this problem, the Dream Catchers Initiative was established. The Dream Catchers Initiative is a non-profit organization and was officially founded on March

12, 2014. The initiatives aim is to increase the employment rate in the community by mentoring the youth and providing them with career guidance. Our team has also embarked on various community upliftment education drives in the form of career expos, educating the youth and unemployed individuals about scarce skills in our country as well other career choices one might want to pursue, funding opportunities for each career and the various accredited institutions available. We are currently in the process of launching a skill-based training programme for those individuals whom can not afford to study further or pursue a career due to lack of funding. If you would like to get involved with the Dream Catchers Initiative as a volunteer, sponsor or possible partner, please feel free to contact us.
