Our babies are so gloriously happy and well adjusted and HEALTHY - the months of just warmth and love, gentleness and nurturing produce content little humans who have not a care in the world. Their only worry is who will get to the slide first, normal sibling rivalry. They eat together, play together, live together for months and sometimes a couple of years.
Behind the scenes, behind the happy photographs and smiling faces of resilient little children is the definite that their lives have to change again at some point. They will lose the family they have, sometimes for the better and sometimes not. The only home they've known, their brothers and sisters, their "Mamas" will all change...again, when they're older and feel it more. Always intriguing is how they know to call us Mama, my mom, me, their caregivers, we're all Mama to them - they just KNOW. We pray and petition and liaise with social workers, fighting for the best family, the best solution, loving forever families. Foster parents are scarce, so babies who aren't adoptable grow older while waiting, but the foundation here is so very important. Every donor and every volunteer plays a crucial part in every baby's life and without you, it would not happen. Thank you for everything that you do for our babies, we are truly so thankful❤️🙏❤️🙏

Today we had visitors ahead of World TB Day. Their research focused on the complexities of diagnosing and treating babies and children with TB.
But the highlight for us was being told that "My wish would be that every baby who is orphaned or abandoned could come to this wonderful place, the warmth and love in this place...the joy and healing in every baby is profound."
😊😊❤️😊😊 Bless our staff who love these little ones like their own.
