It is with great sadness that we announce - the passing of one of our young men, Vukile Khumalo, who has been part of our church and family since his early years. Vukile has been involved with many of our Family activities and established a strong relationship as one of our Parents Spiritual children.

From a young age he was drawn into sonship through participating in the youth Ministry whilst uBaba was a Rector at KwaMsindisi eMandeni - to moving to Ulundi in 2005… Vukile had a strong connection with our family and church members of either of the Parishes.

We will miss his whit, hardworking and friendly spirit and wish to extend our deepest condolences to the Khumalo family. Vukile was our Son, our Brother our friend and we hope his spirit finds eternal rest in the Lord.

We give tribute to uGogo uDudu Makhumalo Luthuli - one of our great veterans and heroines of Faith both in the Diocese of Zululand, and St Joseph’s Parish.

She was one of stronge pillars of prayer and members of iViyo lofakazi bakaKristu who stood for faith even at times when her life depended on it. Her tests and showcases of courageous dedication to the work of the Lord made her a legendary figure of motherhood, faith and discipleship in the house of the lord.

Most notably uMama uDudu was at the centre of all the huge transformations at the St Joseph’s Parish Olundi where our parents - our father presided as Priest, and she played a pivotal role in the most notable church Projects - especially the completion of the Church building that stood for over 10 years.

We salute this great woman of God and send our deepest condolences to her family - especially Sis Sbo Zulu her only daughter and her family respectively. uGogo uDudu left grandchildren not only physically but in faith.
