Khanyisa Developmental Centre is an integrated centre offering daily education and therapeutic intervention for children from birth to 20 years with any kind of special needs. Khanyisa Centre was established as an integrated Developmental Centre for children with disabilities in Durban, KZN, with the vision to meet the needs of families who have children with any kind of special needs from birth t

hrough to 18 years. Khanyisa provides an adapted and individualized education and development program for each child, shadowing a model of integration of all children with special needs. KHANYISA DURBAN NORTH IS HIRING! ✨

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Educator to join our Khanyisa team.

This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, or qualified Teacher with at least 5 years of experience working in the area of special needs.

The Senior Educator will be responsible for supporting the learning and developmental journey of children with diverse needs, including the implementation and tracking of educational and therapeutic goals. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organised, collaborative, and confident in working as part of a transdisciplinary team.

We are so excited to have the Northwood Marimba Band performing at our Raising Hope Gala Dinner!

Known for their incredible skill, energy and vibrant sound, the band brings a rhythm and atmosphere that is impossible not to enjoy. Their performance will add such a special vibe to the evening as we gather to celebrate, connect and raise hope for Khanyisa Centre.

Guests can look forward to a beautiful black-tie evening of good food, live entertainment, auctions, dancing and purpose — all in support of children with different needs.

Khanyisa is preparing for our Raising Hope Gala Dinner, a black-tie fundraising event in support of children with different and multiple needs who attends our Centre.

This year, our goal is to raise R400,000 — and we need your help.

We are looking for the generous donations of prizes, hampers, vouchers, products, services and auction items valued between R500 and R50,000 to help us raise funds on the night.

Every donated prize helps turn generosity into hope, giving our students access to the support, resources and opportunities they deserve.

We are deeply grateful for every donation. Thank you for making a difference in lives of children with special needs💫

Today we honour the mothers of our students, who sacrifice daily, advocate fiercely, and serve their families wholeheartedly. Your love, strength, and commitment do not go unnoticed. Each of you are INCREDIBLE.

We also celebrate our staff members who are moms, who pour into both their own families and the lives of our students with care and compassion.
