The Do More Foundation

The Do More Foundation Together we can DoMore for young children in
South Africa❤️ This page showcases the work done by the DO MORE FOUNDATION (founded by RCL FOODS in June 2017).

Our passion is to to make a significant impact on the people of South Africa.

… to ease hunger
… for young children
… for the care of animals

We believe that we will be able to achieve this through building collaborative partnerships. We’re passionate about openness and authenticity. Our DO MORE FOUNDATION page allows team members to speak for themselves and show

you the impact they are creating in communities. As such, the only time you will see us actively moderating content is if we find it to be irrelevant to the page or if the content is against our company policy. All are welcome to post and share relevant content regarding DO MORE FOUNDATION initiatives. We take the time to review and handle queries directly, so please feel free to drop us a message if you have any questions about our DO MORE FOUNDATION initiatives.

Some heroes don't wear capes. They welcome children through the school gate every morning❤️

This Women's Day, we're celebrating the caregivers and ECD practitioners whose compassion, resilience and commitment help shape the next generation.
Hear from the Principal of Zenzele ECD Centre in Randfontein as she shares how support from the DO MORE FOUNDATION has contributed to positive change at her centre and within the community.
_
Her story reminds us that empowering women in early childhood development doesn't just change children's lives. It transforms communities.

🎥 Watch the video and leave a ❤️ to thank every ECD practitioner or caregiver who is making a difference.

Supporting breastfeeding starts with communities, families, and partners working together❤. Today we wrap up Breastfeeding Week, and celebrate the collective efforts of communities, healthcare workers, government, and partners in supporting mothers and giving children the healthiest start in life.
_
Across Mpumalanga and Bushbuckridge, our team and implementing partner, Lima Rural Development Foundation, joined Department of Health awareness campaigns that brought together mothers, fathers, caregivers, and community members to learn about the importance of breastfeeding, nutrition, and nurturing care.
_
These engagements also reinforced key messages from our EAT LOVE PLAY TALK (ELPT) programme, highlighting the importance of creating supportive environments where mothers and children can thrive.

Breastfeeding is one of the most powerful ways to give babies the healthiest start in life, but too many mothers face misinformation, uncertainty, or a lack of support❤
_
Through our EAT LOVE PLAY TALK (ELPT) programme, we help caregivers and communities understand the importance of breastfeeding, how to support mothers, and where to seek help when challenges arise. Session 2 focuses specifically on pregnancy and breastfeeding, empowering caregivers with practical knowledge that contributes to healthier beginnings for young children.
_
This World Breastfeeding Week, as we bust common myths and share the facts by UNICEF Parenting, we're reminded that informed and supported caregivers are key to helping children thrive.

Our Hammarsdale EAT LOVE PLAY TALK (ELPT) facilitators are growing in confidence and skills as they continue to support parents and caregivers with practical ways to nurture children's nutrition, health, and early learning.

This month, 12 facilitators from 10 ECD centres came together for Session 4 of the ELPT programme, learning through play, discussion, and hands-on activities. A programme proudly funded by Rama South Africa💛

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀❤️👏

Thank you so much to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and gave their 67 minutes to make a difference, from RCL FOODS staff to external guests, thank you!
_
As part of our 67 Minutes of Play campaign, developed in partnership with Kids Collab, you packed Move & Play Kits that will bring the joy and power of play to children at under-resourced Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres across South Africa.
_
Play is how young children build confidence, develop language and communication skills, strengthen their gross motor skills, learn to solve problems, regulate emotions and build healthy relationships with others.
_
Thank you for showing that meaningful change begins with people who choose to give their time, their energy and their hearts❤️❤️❤️
